About Me
Madeleine Sendek was born on September 14th 1995 and will graduate from high school in 2013.Madeleine began gymnastics in 2002 at Arlington Aerials where she gained her nickname Mad. In 2008 Mad began competing at Level 7, she finished 9th All Around at Virginia States and then continued Level 7 in 2009. As a Level 7 in 2009, Mad won the All Around at States. In the 2010 and the 2011 season Mad competed in Level 8. As a Level 8, Mad was the All Around State champion and took 2nd place on beam at Regionals. Mad moved up to Level 9 for the 2012 season. At Level 9 States, Mad placed 2nd All Around, 5th on Floor, 2nd on Beam, and 1st on Bars. She also placed 6th on Beam at Regionals.
Mad enjoys practicing and competing on all the events, and loves gymnastics because it is fun! Mad likes being part of team, competing, learning new skills, and achieving her goals. Mad would like to do college gymnastics and continue learning new skills.
Outside of gymnastics Mad likes to hang out with her friends and spend time with her family. Mad has an older sister, Morgan, and a younger brother, Griffin. Morgan is a musical theater major a Catholic University and Griffin is a competitive figure skater. Mad's parents both did gymnastics; her father was a Division I gymnast for the University of Pittsburgh. Mad is currently training for her 2012-2013 season and hopes to be a part of a great college team!
